This Year’s Grand Marshall is Comedian Vic DiBitetto, a powerful performer, comedian
which Vic churns energy, honesty and humanity into nonstop laughter.
The Columbus Parade is an Italian American and multi-cultural parade featuring string bands and floats.
Begins at 12PM at Broad and Morris St Proceeds south on Broad St and ends with a large celebration at
Marconi Plaza (Broad and Oregon Ave.)

On Wednesday, April 6th, 2016, Columbus Forum Lodge #1492 celebrated National Volunteer Month by volunteering at their local Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. They annually prepare a delicious Italian traditional Sunday dinner of Pasta & Meatballs, along with all the trimmings, old fashioned chicken soup and dessert. This is the kind of dinner that can warm the heart & comfort all. The Forum members make a point to bring their love and joy of Italian food, music and fun to those who are seriously ill and their families that support them.
Letter Regarding Columbus Day

It has come to our attention, while reviewing the 2016-2017 Academic Calendar that it did not include Columbus Day. Columbus Day has been a federal holiday since 1937. This year it falls on Monday, October 10, 2016.
Is this simply an oversight or was it intentionally left off the calendar?
We are concerned that a federal holiday, recognized and honored in the past for seventy-nine years, does not currently appear on the official calendar.In effect, it slights the contributions that Italian Americans have made to this country and the development of western civilization as a whole.
We look forward to an explanation for the omission and the rescheduling of the holiday.

The Columbus Forum celebrated the
end of the School Year with a “Meet & Greet”
Noir Restaurant ~ June 11, 2015
On April 8th the Columbus Forum held its Annual Dinner at the Ronald McDonald House
for the enjoyment of the families of children recovered at CHOP. The Board of the Forum
supplied all the necessary items for the dinner, served the meal and cleaned up the hospital area.
It was a wonderful event. The families and children enjoyed the Italian meal immensely.
